Boston Butt Fund Raiser was a success. 253 “butts” were sold. $3700.00 will be donated to the Make A Wish Foundation.
Oktoberfest Party was a good time! Approximately 40 people attended.

Jan Clevenger announced a Past Presidents Meeting also for Tuesday, Nov. 8th at the Holiday Inn. Open to and Jay invited all Past Club Presidents. Contact Jay with any questions.
Bob Rubenstein updated club members on the assistance being given to the Hurricane Katrina destroyed area of Bay St. Louis, Mississippi. The University Rotary Club (partnering with the Bay St. Louis Rotary Club and several other organizations) is going to continue to provide supplies and support to the area and its residents. Currently plans are being made to serve 7500 Thanksgiving dinners. Held at the Bay St. Louis Depot at 11 AM on Friday, November 25th.

Bob also requested assistance on Wednesday, November 9th from 7 PM to 9 PM at the ASU Center for Economic Development to help clean out and clean up the building.
All remaining items left from the Hurricane Katrina drive must be removed from the building.

GUEST SPEAKER:
NEA Clinic Charitable Foundation announced the following:
1) They have surpassed their $1 million dollar goal for this year fundraising efforts.
They have 7000 patients currently receiving medications (worth over $6 million)
at no cost. They continue to provide assistance and counseling via Hope Circle
mission and over 65 trained volunteers for counseling, hospital visits, etc.
2) Launch of New Center for Healthy Children.
First program in the State of Arkansas designed specifically for obese children.
No charge for any part of the program. Initially 50 families will be enrolled for a
six month period. Children will be from graded 3 – 6. Education and support
will be provided (at the Wellness Center at the Athletic Club on Phillips Drive)
during this time to work with changing the future life style of the child.
Basic premise is that intervention today will make a healthy adult!
