Program

Jerry Smith introduced the quest speaker Ray Keller, owner of Keller International.  Ray is an international motivational speaker and a Rotarian.  He and his wife Carla have three children and three grandchildren.  Ray is a graduate of the University of Arkansas with a degree in economics.

How motivated are you?  We live in an unmotivated society.  We have lost that sense of anticipation and eagerness that we see in children.  Seventy percent (70%) of people who went to work to go to work today did not want to go.  Only twenty percent (20%) of Jonesboro accounts for the 80% of what happens in Jonesboro.

Motivation is made up of three things.

1.      Desire

2.      Environment

3.      Skill

Five Things That Influences Motivation

1.      Health

2.      Money

3.      Friends

4.      Time

5.      Self-worth

Ten Motivational Tips

1.      Leave your comfort zone

2.      Don’t be afraid to make mistakes

3.      Think outside of the box

4.      Choose to be happy

5.      Spend 1 hour each day doing for yourself

6.      Train to finish what you start

7.      Decide that now is the best time

8.      Commit yourself to joy

9.      Don’t quit when you have a set back

10. Dare to dream big dreams

Rotary attracts those people who are movers and shakers.

Motivation is the fuel that drives our lives.
