Donn Mixon announced that Broderick will be showered next Thursday with ca$h money. As you may know, Broderick was a fourth grader who URCer Gary Childers mentored through the Lunch Buddy program and began a long mentoring relationship with. Broderick will be attending ASU in the fall, earning 3 scholarships and a manager’s slot for Dickey Nutt. We will pass the hat for heart-felt donations. Give Generously. It is hoped that Broderick will attend the following week and be introduced to the members who have not met him.

PROGRAM
The Group Study Exchange team from Brazil spoke to the club on Thursday. Members Francisco, Karla, Ricardo, Pollana, and Mila visited with us. The professions included: auditor, teacher, treasurer, manager and artist. They came from the Northeast area of Brazil. They spoke of the 2 seasons: sunny and rainy; Brazil has many pockets of wealth, but also many pockets of poverty…extreme poverty. The team is learning to say, “ya’ll,” and said they are having a wonderful time. They all gave appreciation for the wonderful hosts and are grateful for the many sights and events that they have attended. They spoke with understandable English. The native language is Portuguese.
THE 4 WAY TEST: Pam Kail led the 4 way test: First, is it the truth, will it be beneficial to all concerned, will it build goodwill and better friendships, will it be beneficial to all concerned?
