Vocational Minute: Dwayne Douglas. Human Resources manager at Target.
Works with staffing, orientation and training and (of course) recognition.
Super Seniors: Sheila Harrison introduced Ashley Harriman. Senior from
Valley View High School.
Super Seniors: Lauren Jones from Nettleton High School spoke to us about
a learning experience joining a Hip Hop Dance Team.
CURRENT BUSINESS:
Blue Badges: were awarded to Chris Reddick, Chris Evans, Lindsay Harman, Debbie Patton and Dwayne Douglas. WAY TO GO GROUP!
Boston Butt sale this coming Saturday, May 13th.
Cooking begins at 7am at the Arnold residence. Pick-Up and delivery begins at 3pm. Sign up sheets were on the tables.
At 6pm, a party will be help at the Arnold’s house. Great time for all. Come enjoy the fellowship (and a great BBQ sandwich) and bring a side dish of your choice.
Ken Stacks announced final plans for a bus trip to St. Louis on Sunday, July 16th.
Tickets will be $70.00 per person. Leave Jonesboro 7am and attend the 1pm Cardinals game. Return back to Jonesboro around 10pm.

Rita Reed announced that the Club has a Make-A-Wish child.
Young boy, age 9, from Bay, Ar. Area. Unfortunately recently diagnosed with MS.
Rita and other club representatives are going to visit the family soon and will report back to the club.
Glenn Bowers announced the Year End Banquet. Mark your calendars for
June 29th at the Jonesboro Country Club. This will be our club’s 25th Anniversary.
(Originally chartered on June 29th, 1981) 25th Anniversary Celebration will be a
very special event. PLAN ON ATTENDING this Year End Banquet.

Dosha Cummins presented to Club President Glenn a banner from the
Cape Town South Africa Club. Dosha was attending a conference in Cape Town and attended the local Rotary meeting and was just in time to see a presentation of a group from Arkansas GSE team members. What timing!
OFF SITE MEETING on Thursday, June 15th. We will be visiting the Arkansas BioScience Institute on the ASU Campus. More information to follow. Many club members requested to visit this facility and President Glenn made it happen.
GOOD NEWS:
Josh Fletcher had a great time at the Kentucky Derby compliments of his company. He won $300. dollars (unfortunately it was his brothers money!)
Brian Gibson announced the 10th Anniversary of his business and the
25th Anniversary to his lovely wife.
Ashley Pagan announced its official. “It’s a girl!”
Dwayen Douglas announced his 11 year old son hit his first home run at
a Baseball game Monday night. Dad was very proud.
PROGRAM: Information on The Wheelchair Foundation by Jake & June Morse.
A short film was shown about the Wheelchair Foundation and its charter to provide a wheelchair to anyone who needs it. No matter who and no matter where! The University Rotary Club recently sponsored 4 wheelchairs and Jake
Presented to Glenn 4 lapel pins which represent each of the chairs sponsored by the club.
Each chair costs $75.00 to sponsor. A container of 280 wheelchairs is $21,000 and you can select the country you wish to have the wheelchairs delivered to
