Quiera Borders is a senior at Jonesboro High School. She was joined by her mother, Quienna. She thanked God, her teachers and fellow students for making her experience there a great thing. She will be going to Arkansas State and majoring in Business.
Melanie Hornbeck is a senior at Nettleton High School. She was joined by her mother Vicki Hornbeck. She is planning on attending St. Olaff College in Minnesota. It is a private, liberal arts college with a little over 3,000 students. It is important to blend extra-curricular activities and academics. Melanie is a music person and St. Olaff has excellent musical programs. Also, nearly 67% of students are able to study abroad.
Vocational Minute
Barbra Edens has worked for Coach Nutt at ASU for nine years now. She grew up a coach’s kid and has always had keys to the gym and still does. Everyone looks to her as a friend, sister and mother (albeit a young one) to all the team.

Program
Joel Gardner is the Director of the Jonesboro Economical Transit System. We are going to cover the entire city of Jonesboro beginning on May 4. Sheltered stops are being implemented gradually. There will be a couple fairly quickly. Others will come on board later.
There will be advertising on the side of the buses and running on continuous loop inside the buses throughout the day. The goal is to get as much revenue as possible into the system to make it efficient.
There will be a kick-off at 11:00 on May 3 at the Chamber of Commerce.
The service will be free from May 4 through June.
They are looking for those who don’t have working vehicles. This is their target market. They are attempting to connect people with their employers and businesses.
From a safety standpoint, our drivers should never have to touch any money. They will all use automated systems.
