District conference will be May 5-6 in Jonesboro. We are a co-host of the event. We need donations for door prizes. Sign up now to avoid late charges!
Our meeting will be moved until Noon on Friday that week. You must register and the cost will be $15. If you are prepaid with your meals, you will be credited $9.
The banquet Saturday night will be an excellent opportunity to enjoy an evening of jazz. Sign up for all events on the Rotary District 6150 web site.
There will be an upcoming Delta Symphony Orchestra concert on Saturday, April 29. Communities that have creative arts make a more attractive location for businesses to locate. They are in all of the area schools working with students to expose them to the musical arts. We were gifted to hear a small portion of what would take place at the concert.
Also keep in mind…
Ken Stacks tickets are on sale now for the Cardinals Game this year. The game will be Sunday, July 16 Rotary Cardinals-Dodgers, 150 tickets $30 or $20.
Not mentioned…
Kevin Brady displayed his skills as a backhoe operator, ditch digger, plumber and electrician at Chris Carlisle Park last Saturday. Jack Sample and Rob Delaney were there for moral support and encouragement.
Program
Margaret Holloway introduced Tim McGowan, magician and husband of our mayor from Paragould. Tim was able to wow and amaze our Rotarians with his slight of hand. Kudos to Josh Fletcher for truly being all wet as part of the show!
