Super Seniors

Mallory Reese is a senior at JHS.  She will be speaking next week.

 

Beverly Nichol spoke to the club.  Beverly is a senior at Brookland High School. She is active in many clubs in school and is on the Student Council and choir.  She is president of the Senior class and has a 4.0 GPA (#1 in her class).  She will be studying business at ASU.

 

New Members Induction:

Brandon Cooper is the chief pharmacist at Sue’s Pharmacy. He has been very active in many community and professional organizations.  He is sponsored by Dosha Cummins.

Debbie Patten is employed at Morgan Stanley. She was sponsored by Mary Merrill.

 

Vocational Minute

 

Mark Richardson is a 18-year pharmaceutical salesperson.  He travels through the area and conveys the appropriate use of his medications. He brought up the value of research and development in the industry and the benefits that have came over the past decade or so.

 

Announcements

Jay Clevenger announced Glen Bowers’ mother has been hospitalized.  She is in North Carolina.  Please keep her and the Bowers family in your prayers.

Ken Stacks Sunday, July 16 Rotary Cardinals-Dodgers, 150 tickets $30 or $20.

District Assembly is Saturday in Beebe.  Several members of the club will meet at Ken’s office on Saturday morning at 6:30.

Pam Bowers announced May 3-5 GSE team will be here.  We need another family to host.

The Metro Club will be having Wine Tasting on April 22. Tickets will be $50 per person.

 

Good News

Greg Phillips announced the College of Business received a grant for developing a new building for the Delta Center.  In a second announcement, many departments in the Department of Science will host a petting zoo and open house at the corner of Stadium and Aggie on Saturday, April 22.

Pam Bowers announced Barbra Halsey is running for circuit judge.

Sam Wright had a granddaughter born in Nashville last week.

 

Program

The Douglas MacArthur Junior High School Jazz Band performed for club.  There were fourteen second and third year students led by Director David Robinson that entertained the club.  They put on a truly outstanding show.
