Outstanding Seniors

Julieann Watkins is a senior at Bay High School. She plans on attending ASU where she has received the Chancellor’s Scholarship. She is a member of FFA, FBLE, Mock Trial, Quiz Bowl team and the Nursery Landscape Team. She has gone on mission trips to Hun grey and Honduras.

Lindsey McVay is a senior at Nettleton High School. She is active in the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Students Who Care.&nb! sp; She is active in the youth group at Walnut Street Baptist Church and has gone on several mission trips. She plays softball for Nettleton and baseball in the summer. The baseball gives her the opportunity to travel around the country meeting lots of people.

Vocational Minute - Rick Carter - Works at Emerson Funeral Home and does everything but embalm. He wears lots of hats one is helping handle the 600 cases that come in each year through the County Corner’s Office.&nb! sp; Emerson has recently added a crematorium in the last few years. He invites everyone to "Come See Him"

Fairfield Bay is sponsoring a Golf Tournament May 6th and

RYLA is the last weekend in March/April. The club is sponsoring three high school students who need transportation to Ferncliff.

To be considered Club of the year 100% of the membership must give to the Rotary Foundation. Even if you give just a few dollars, please contribute. A table is being set up to take you money at the end of the meeting.

*****Donn Mixon Son John is graduating in May from the University of Tennessee School of Architecture. He has been chosen by his classmates to give the graduation speech.

Ken Stacks - He and Shirley as celebrating their 30th wedding anniversary.

Becky Street Is expecting her first child.

Rick Carter Congratulated Gary Childers and the Lunch Buddy Program. Broderick Johnson, Gary had been his buddy for many years, had a 4pt. Grade point average this last semester.

Jay Clevenger - Announced this is his 10th anniversary in the club.

Len Frey Len’s daughter has received a full scholarship to ASU

Bob Trout! Bob’s daughter was chosen a Razorback Belle at the University of Arkansas and will by an ambassador for the U of A Athletic Teams.

Program Introduced by Mickey Stafford

Donn Knoernschild and Dan Hessee presented the program representing Thrivent Financial, a faith based insurance and investment company.

There are approximately 2500 representatives across the United States! and Dan and Don are in the Top 25. Both are members of the Million Dollar round Table’s "Top of the Table". Dan is a certified Financial Planner and Don is a CLU. They offer advice and financial planning.
